A.Ronai LLC launches a new recycling programme
Purchase your new uniform from Ronai and we’ll recycle your old uniform for free*!
Simply choose from a host of garments from the Uniforms by Ronai or Bespoke by Ronai collections and Ronai commit to have your old garments de-branded and transformed into new environmentally friendly products.
Ronai, a leading force in the industry, manufacturing uniforms since 2010 has expanded their operation to provide a seamless experience for their customers. By participating in the programme the hospitality industry can create a fresh new look for their property while actively improving their CSR and landfill waste.
Any returned and recycled garments will be re-purposed into new fabric yarns, the garments will be shredded into fibres via machine; these fibres are then cleaned and re-aligned in a ‘carding process’ before being re-spun into yarn.
Should any garments not be suitable for re-purposing they will be shredded and used as stuffing for furniture.
*Terms and conditions
- Any uniforms to be returned to Ronai should be washed, packed and boxed prior to collection or delivery. Collection from any property will only be done once
- The old uniform does not have to be a Ronai produced garment
- Recycling without any purchase from Ronai will be charged at 10dhs per kilo and will be on a delivery only basis.
Ethical Sourcing and Making Verifiable Sustainability Claims For Textiles
At Ronai, we are committed to bringing our customers the highest global standards within the sustainable textile industry. While many of our fabrics meet international testing standards and carry the OEKO-TEX certification, we also offer a range of fabrics that use recycled yarns and sustainably produced fibres.
Reducing manufacturing waste that goes to landfill and putting it to use through community initiatives
We are proud to announce that since starting our waste reduction initiative, we have cut our total manufacturing waste by a fantastic 80%!
Our tailoring teams have been keeping whatever fabric may be left from any pattern cutting, this waste is then handed over to the warehouse team, weighed and boxed for delivery to local schools. We keep a ‘weigh in’ sheet to track how much we are saving from landfill and the schools can use the scrap materials for any arts and crafts
In total, every week, we save around 20kg of fabric waste from ending up in landfill. We also recycle all our discarded cardboard packaging locally.
